Comprehensive Eye Care & Specialized Services

Dr. Seevaratnam's clinical expertise centers on medical optometry  encompassing primary eye care, the comprehensive management of ocular diseases, surgical co-management, and specialty contact lenses. Her areas of focus include dry eye management, glaucoma, diabetic retinopathy, keratoconus and corneal cross-linking, light adjustable lenses (LAL), and the fitting of specialty contact lenses for complex vision needs. This broad scope means she is equipped to guide patients through everything from routine eye exams to the ongoing management of sight-threatening conditions, coordinating closely with the surgical team when advanced intervention is needed.

My years in research taught me to look deeper — and that's exactly what I bring to every exam room. Great eye care means understanding the whole person, not just the prescription.

Research & Scientific Contributions

Beyond the exam room, Dr. Seevaratnam has made meaningful contributions to eye care science through her glaucoma research at Massachusetts Eye and Ear, one of the nation's leading ophthalmic institutions, resulting in a published study that reflects her commitment to advancing the field through scientific inquiry. Prior to her optometry career, she brought the same rigor to gastric cancer research, authoring numerous peer-reviewed journal articles, and completed a master's thesis investigating potential interventions for Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS). This research-informed perspective continues to shape the way she evaluates, educates, and cares for her patients today.
