Dr. Debra Weltman is a highly respected board-certified optometrist at the Washington Eye Institute. She is renowned for her expertise in refractive eye surgery, including corneal and lens-based procedures, and managing dry eye and ocular diseases.
Since commencing her practice in 2003, Dr. Weltman has established an excellent reputation. She embarked on her academic journey at Cornell University, where she earned her BS degree and was an Omicron Nu Honor Society member. She furthered her education at the State University of New York College of Optometry, obtaining her OD degree and becoming a Beta Sigma Kappa Optometric Honors Society member.
Dr. Weltman is actively involved in the field, particularly in pre and post-operative management with refractive surgery. She is recognized for her insightful presentations throughout the DMV and frequently trains optometrists nationwide.
Outside of her professional life, Dr. Weltman cherishes her time with her family. She enjoys spending quality moments with her husband and two sons, engaging in activities such as running and cheering on her boys at their sporting events.
